This is normal and is related to changes in SSL/TLS security standards.
In the past, SSL certificates could be issued for up to 2 years or more. Later, the maximum validity was reduced to around 1 year (398 days).
The industry is now moving toward even shorter certificate lifetimes to improve security.
- 2026 — approximately 6 months
- 2027 — approximately 3 months
- by 2029 — around 47 days
Shorter lifetimes reduce risks in case of key compromise and improve overall security.
During the paid period, you can reissue your certificate at no additional cost. We recommend reissuing it 5–10 days before expiration and updating it on your hosting.
